Top 20 Super Seniors

Michigan Class of 2010 ( Seniors) Top 20 Prospects

1.

Trey Ziegler

6'5

CG

Mount Pleasant High

Team Detroit

Strengths

Weakness

Aggressive, Scoring, Mid Range

3-Point Range, Consistency,Strength

Colleges

Central Michigan, UCLA, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Minnesota

Scouting Report:

A relentless scorer who is very poised and aggressive as they come. At 6'5 Ziegler has the capabilities of playing all 5 positions in an affective matter. Trey is at his best when attacking the rim and shooting the 15 to 18 footer. Trey also is a very good 3 point shooter but must expand his range and consistency. On the defensive end Trey is a horse for he can lock up a guard or center. Strength is not an issue at this point but he can always get stronger. WFHB is almost positive Ziegler will be an Combo guard or forward at the next level.

2..

Keith Appling

6'2

CG

Detroit Pershing

Michigan Mustangs

Strengths

Weakness

Scoring, Aggressiveness, Poise

3-Point Range, Handle, Passing

Colleges

   Michigan State

Scouting Report:

Keith is another aggressive scorer with the ability to create his own shot off the dribble. Keith has  a very high basketball IQ and very good handles at this stage. Despite being one of the nations best guards he is poised and plays with a confident swagger and a very tough defender. Keith is a very good finisher around the basket and an above average of the dribble shooter from 15 foot and out. Before playing for Tom Izzo he must become a better passer and rack up more assists.  He has already proved he can score at any level.

3.

Ray McCallum

6'1

PG

Detroit Country Day

Indiana Elite 17u

Strengths

Weakness

3-Point , Mid-Range, Basketball IQ

Quickness, 3 Point- Range, Aggressiveness

Colleges

Duke, Kansas, Michigan, Detroit, Texas,Arizona,, Oklahoma, Notre Dame

Scouting Report:

Ray is the son of University Detroit Mercy head coach and everything you expect from the coaches son. Ray is a very fundamental point guard who understands player personnel and the meaning of leader. Ray is an excellent passer while driving in the lane or making a post pass entry. He defends well on the perimeter and is a nightmare for other defenses. Ray is one guard in the MI 2010 class who has showcased he can score and distribute the ball at a high major level. He sometimes takes bad shots but other aspects of his game makes up for that. He could be the best point guard prospect in a long time.

4.

Maurice Jones

5'6

PG

Saginaw Arthur Hill

Reach Legends

Strengths

Weakness

Quickness, Handle, Basketball IQ

3-Point, Mid Range, Strength

Colleges

USC

Scouting Report:

Maurice is the most exciting player to watch because at 5'6 he is every college coaches dream. He is a very fearless and tough player and is another lightening quick guard. Jones finishes well in the lane and is a very good distributor. He changes speeds well and is very poised from start to finish. "Pookie" is a good mid range shooter and solid 3 point shooter. He is a "heck" of a player but at his size his jump shot must be as good as or better than Tajuan Porter's and it's not. If he can improve his 3 point shot at USC the sky is limit despite the size.

5.

Issiah Sykes

6'5

CG

Detroit Denby

Michigan Hurricanes

Strengths

Weakness

Scoring, 3-Point, Basketball IQ

Fundamentals, Poise, Defense

Colleges

Michigan State, Syracuse, Tennessee, Dayton, Depaul, Michigan

Scouting Report:

Issiah is a very skilled combo guard who excels at attacking the basket and knocking down threes. "Zeek" is 6'5 and probably one of the best ball handlers in the class. He can create a shot for himself or a teammate. Despite his slender frame he is a fearless rebounder in traffic and can go up and down like Magic Johnson. Sykes is very poise and has a passion for winning. He is a good perimeter defender but must gain a few more pounds of muscle to have the ability to guard bigs. Sykes is a natural and could end up being a PG with the ability to score at the next level.

6.

Alex Gauna

6'9

C

Eaton Rapids

Michigan Mustangs

Strengths

Weakness

Rebounding, Blocking Shots, Scoring

Mid-Range, Post Moves, Value Structure

Colleges

Michigan State

Scouting Report:

Guana is an athletic forward with an unreal work ethic and strong frame. Guana has a variety of post moves which most 2010 MI bigs lack. At 6'8 Guana is a dominate force down low as he can rebound, block shots, and score at a constant rate. Guana can knock down the mid range jumper but must prefect that shot to be even more dangerous. He reminds me and my brother of Goran Suton just not as physical yet.

7..

John Horford

6'8

PF

Grand Ledge

Michigan Mustangs

Strengths

Weakness

Toughness, Rebounding, Mid-Range

Finishing, Strength, Handle

Colleges

Michigan State, Ohio State, Florida, Dayton, Miami

 Scouting Report:

The younger brother of Al Horford Atlanta Hawks forward could end up better than his big bro. John is the classes best rebounder and big finisher at this point. He gets to the line often because he realizes that creating contact is the key. What makes Horford so good is his defense as he is a blocks shots and makes others change theirs at 6'9. John is a solid post player but like Guana what takes him above and beyond is that mid range jumper. Can you say UNSTOPPABLE.....

7..

Michael Talley

5''11

PG

Melvindale ABT Academy

The Famliy

Strengths

Weakness

3-Point, Poise, Basketball IQ

 Instincts of Position,  Defense, Strength

Colleges

Duquesene

Scouting Report:

Talley is the son of former Detroit Cooley Mr. Basketball and University of Michigan standout. Talley is a dead eye shooter and as poised as the come. Talley stays in attack mode and is more of a scoring guard at this stage. He finishes well and has an array of moves to keep his defender guessing. What separates him is his knowledge of the game and basketball IQ. Talley is a average defender as he must get rid of some habits. "Mike T" is a scoring machine but must value distributing the ball more to be successful at the next level. He scores but to move above other points he must showcase true PG skills thats what "The Dukes"  and ect are looking for in him. Scoring is his first option he does do it well

8.

Devin Oliver

6'6

  WG

Kalamazoo Central

Michigan Mustangs

Strengths

Weakness

Rebounding, 3 Point Range, Basketball IQ

Foot Speed ,Handle, Strenght

Colleges

   University Dayton

Scouting Report:

After jumping on the circuit last hih school season "DO" was a monster in AAU with the Mustangs. He is a solid wing who shoots at a hugh level and handles the ball better tahan exspected. Devin is not just an offensive threat as he constanly rebounds and makes stops on the ball. He is a bit on the wiry side as he needs to add some bulk when playing at the next level. Devin has a high IQ on both ends and that is rare to have when playing the wing position. Where ever he ends up will be getting one of the best as his best years are in the future if he continues to improve

9.

 Roy Marble

6'5

WG

Southfield Lathrup High

The Famliy

Strengths

Weakness

 3 Point-Range, Finishing, Attack Mode

 Strength, Consistency, Ball-Handling

Colleges

University Iowa

Scouting Report

Roy has improved so much and is a solidified Top 10 prospect in WFHB eyes. Roy is at his best filling it up on the wing as he has a deadly three ball from the perimeter. Roy also can put it on the floor and finish at a high level without being stripped by little guards due to his solid ball skills. Roy will be playing in the Big Ten so he must put on a few pounds and become a better ball handler and be ready to play on a daily bascis is important. He really reminds me of MSU WG Chris Allen.

10..

Cole Darling

6'7

  WF

                       Holt

Michigan Roadrunners

Strengths

Weakness

Rebounding, Mid-Range , Finishing

3- Point, Handle, Strenght

Colleges

   Wright State

Scouting Report:

My "Darling" Cole  has been around for some years but recently proved himself this past high school and AAU season. Many figured he would be recieving a ship for the University of Michigan after a stellar Elite camp but that never happened. Cole is a big who is capable of knocking down the jumper or driving himself. He is super smooth and plays with a confident swagger. Cole has a soft touch around the basket but is nasty on the boards. I love his determination and will power to rebound. As he develops a good handle he could be a force to be reckoned with in college.
